40th anniversary dinner

On October 18th we held a volunteer appreciation dinner at Black Cardamon Restaurant celebrating 40 years of recycling on Mayne!

It was a fantastic event with over 65 current and former volunteers in attendance, enjoying exceptional food from Black Cardamom. We were fortunate to have two of the depot founders, Ron Pither and Ron Willick present, both of whom gave us some history of the organization. And the spirit of Ann Johnston was present as well.

Bill Warning, our current president, thanked our fabulous current volunteers who do so much to keep the depot open. We have always been a volunteer driven organization, and we are thankful for all of the volunteers who have contributed so much to the depot over the 40 years of our operation.
